Responsibilities

The Housekeeper performs heavy cleaning and sanitization duties of assigned areas at the property ensuring environment is safe and hazard free. Additional duties include:

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

  • Stocking central storage facility and work centers with appropriate quantities of supplies and conducting inventories of such;
  • Maintaining cleanliness in common/public areas of the casino
  • Collecting and transporting trash from hallways and gaming floor
  • Extract and clean carpet and tiles
  • Execute guest deliveries issued through Synergy
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
     

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, along with six (6) months of janitorial experience. Previous stock room experience is preferred.

  • The ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to excessive noise and constant exposure to general public. 
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
